Position Summary The Website Specialist supports the development, maintenance, and quality assurance of Sinclair Community College’s public website. Working under the direction of the Manager of Web Strategy, this position assists with content updates, webpage formatting, accessibility remediation, image optimization, link validation, and other technical website maintenance activities. This position ensures website content is published accurately and consistently while adhering to established accessibility, branding, and web governance standards.
The hourly pay rate for this position is $28.12 and has a maximum of 28 hours per week. This position is part-time and temporary, with an expected appointment of one year.

Upload, edit, and format website content within the College’s Content Management System (CMS)
Migrate and organize website content according to established templates and standards
Insert images, documents, videos, and other media while ensuring appropriate formatting and accessibility requirements are met, including alternative text
Review webpages for broken links, formatting inconsistencies, and other quality assurance issues prior to publication
Identify and report accessibility issues and assist with remediation efforts following established WCAG standards and College procedures
Test webpages across browsers and devices to verify functionality and usability
Assist with website maintenance projects, content audits, and other technical web support activities as assigned
Maintain documentation of completed work and communicate technical issues
requiring additional review
Requirements
Minimum of an associate’s degree in web development, information technology, computer science, digital media, graphic design, or a related field
Minimum of three (3) years of experience in a related field required
Experience using a Content Management System or comparable web editing platform required
Basic understanding of HTML and CSS required
Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational and time management skills required
Ability to effectively manage multiple assignments and consistently meet deadlines required
Effective written and verbal communication skills required
Experience with Modern Campus CMS and/or Mura CMS preferred
Familiarity with WCAG accessibility guidelines preferred
Experience using accessibility evaluation tools preferred
