Primary Responsibilities
Content Creation & Digital Storytelling
Develop and schedule engaging social media content (text-only, images, videos, infographics, etc.) for various platforms (Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, etc.), ensuring alignment with brand guidelines.
Create social-first content that reflects Wharton‑Smith’s voice, values, culture, experience, and position as the Construction Group of Choice.
Conduct interviews with employees, project teams, executives, owners, and subject matter experts to gather story ideas and source material.
Ensure all social media content is on-brand, consistent in style, tone, and messaging, and adheres to company guidelines and industry standards.
Social Media Calendar Management
Own, maintain, and continuously update the companywide content calendar.
Coordinate post timing, approvals, assets, captions, and scheduling to ensure consistent and timely execution.
Engage on behalf of Wharton‑Smith by responding to comments, messages, and tagged content in a timely and professional manner.
Campaign Support
Assist in planning, executing, and optimizing organic and paid social media campaigns that support Wharton‑Smith’s brand awareness, recruitment, project storytelling, community engagement, and business development goals.
Develop support copy, creative concepts, audience considerations, and scheduling recommendations for priority initiatives.
Support paid social execution, including boosted posts, sponsored content, audience targeting, performance monitoring, and reporting as appropriate.
Analytics & Reporting
Track, analyze, and report on the performance of social media content and campaigns using native platform analytics and social media management tools.
Provide insights and recommendations for optimizing engagement and reach.
Regularly monitor KPIs such as engagement, reach, impressions, follower growth, video views, clicks, and overall sentiment.
Execute monthly performance updates and quarterly executive-level reports regarding progress towards defined annual goals.
Work closely with the communications, marketing, strategic partnerships & events, business development, and project teams to understand company objectives, key messages, and ongoing projects to develop content that supports company goals.
Industry Research
Stay up to date with trends in social media, construction industry news, and emerging digital marketing tools to ensure that the company’s social media presence is innovative and effective.
Qualifications
Work Experience: Passionate team player with 1-3 years’ experience in social media management or digital marketing within a corporate environment.
Communications: Requires regular communication with MARCOMM and Executive level staff throughout the firm.
Job-Related Knowledge and Skills
Proficiency in social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube), content creation, paid social strategies, and social media scheduling tools such as Loomly. Knowledge of digital marketing principles and analytics.
Basic skills in Canva or Adobe Creative Suite for graphic content creation
