Job Description
Part‑Time Intern, Social Media and Digital Marketing – University Park. This temporary, two‑semester appointment provides hands‑on experience supporting the College Relations department and working closely with the Digital Marketing/Social Media Manager.

Essential Job Functions

Assist with managing the social media calendar to ensure timely and relevant content delivery.

Act as a communications liaison with the Mane Squad student content‑creator program, scheduling meetings, organizing files, and coordinating correspondence.

Post approved content on platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter in a timely and engaging manner.

Collaborate with the publications lead to gather newsworthy content and keep campus news up to date.

Assist with internal marketing and event promotion.

Perform other reasonable, related duties as assigned.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Strong understanding of social media platforms; proficiency in Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, TikTok, etc.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to craft engaging content.

Creative and innovative thinking; ability to generate fresh ideas.

Knowledge of social media analytics tools such as Google Analytics, Monday.com, or Facebook Meta Business Suite.

Basic graphic design skills; familiarity with Canva or Adobe Photoshop is a plus.

Understanding of SEO and content marketing for optimizing content and attracting target audiences.

Strong organizational skills for managing administrative duties and documentation.

Qualifications

At least 18 years of age.

Enrolled at LSC‑University Park as a student.

Maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.0 or higher.

Maintain good academic and disciplinary standing.

Hourly pay: $12.14 per hour. Benefits include a supportive work environment, tuition waiver, participation in a tax‑deferred retirement plan, and more.
