Freelance Graphic Designer (Contract)

We're looking for a creative, self-directed designer who enjoys balancing big-picture thinking with hands-on execution. As a Freelance Graphic Designer, you'll work closely with the Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams to concept & execute creative for our upcoming brand refresh launch across retail, eCommerce, digital marketing, and brand experiences. We're looking for someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, enjoys creating for both digital and physical touchpoints, and is excited about becoming a true creative partner to the team.
This is a 6-month part-time contract role (approximately 20 hours per week), with the potential for extension and/or full-time basis based on business needs and performance. This position is open to fully remote, hybrid, or in-person in our Kansas City office. Candidates must have CPG, eComm and/or retail experience and

must be based in the United States .
What You'll Do:

Design and optimize Amazon A+ Content, PDP images, Storefronts, Walmart.com assets, TikTok Shop content, and other retail media.
Develop static digital advertising creative for paid media across Meta, TikTok, Amazon, Walmart Connect, Pinterest, and other channels.
Design creative assets that support product launches, promotions, campaigns, and brand storytelling.
Design packaging & prepare production-ready files for future product innovations.
Develop marketing collateral including sales presentations, retail sell sheets, retailer pitch materials, email graphics, social media assets, and digital marketing materials.
Design website assets and landing pages across current and future brand initiatives.
Support ambassador and influencer programs through PR inserts, welcome kits, event materials, and campaign creative.
Support organic and paid social media, partnering with the Social Media Manager to concept and design graphic assets.
Own and oversee MightyGood's visual identity across all channels, ensuring every touchpoint reflects a cohesive, premium brand experience.
Organize and maintain design libraries, templates, and brand assets across internal servers and creative programs.
Minimum Qualifications

5+ years of professional graphic design experience.
Experience designing for consumer-packaged goods (CPG) brands, eComm and/or retail.
Expert proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
Experience preparing print-ready production files.
Experience designing for digital advertising, websites, and social platforms.
Exceptional typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
Excellent communication skills and ability to work independently.
We Also Value (Preferred)

Experience creating Amazon, Walmart, or other retail eCommerce assets.
Experience designing trade show booths, retail displays, and sales materials.
Basic understanding of performance marketing and designing creative that drives conversion.
Comfortable working in an entrepreneurial environment with shifting priorities. You bring ideas, identify problems worth solving, and proactively recommend creative solutions.
Part-time engagement (approximately 20 hours per week, monthly retainer) with the potential for extension and/or full-time based on business needs and performance
Fully remote - Kansas City-based freelancers are welcome to work from our office
Compensation: ~$75/hour, based on experience
