The Director, Internal Communication & Employee Engagement reports to New Era’s Chief of Staff, and is responsible for developing and executing strategies that foster a high-performing and highly-engaged workforce. This role partners across all levels and areas of the business to enhance the employee experience, drive cultural alignment, and improve retention and productivity through data-driven engagement initiatives. This key role will bolster employee engagement by developing and executing a comprehensive internal communication strategy that aligns employees with the organization’s strategic direction, initiatives, mission, vision, and values. This role ensures consistent and engaging communication across all levels of the organization, fostering a culture of trust, collaboration, and inclusion.
Knowledge, Skills And Abilities
- Excellent communication, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills
- Proven success in designing and implementing engagement programs at scale
- Strong analytical skills with experience in survey tools and data interpretation
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in organizational development, I/O psychology, communication, change management, business administration or other relevant studies strongly preferred, MBA a plus
- Minimum of ten (10) years of progressive experience in an internal communications and employee engagement role at the leadership level
- Certification in coaching, change management, or employee experience frameworks is preferred
Travel Requirement
- The location for this position is 100% on-site in Buffalo, NY
- 5% to 10%; domestic and/or global
The salary range for this posted position is $130,000 - $175,000 (plus bonus & benefits) and pertains to candidates located in Western New York. Actual compensation will fall within this range and is determined by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skill set, education, essential job duties and requirements, and necessary experience.
