The Program Supervisor is responsible for the daily operation of one or more community homes, community participation support services or community-based services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The Program Supervisor is responsible for the delegation of work, assignment of duties, completion of tasks of direct support staff and for supporting the principles and values of self-determination, in accordance with Community Services Group policies and applicable regulations. The Program Supervisor reports directly to the Program Manager.
Base Rate $20.00/hr. with increase possible based on relevant IDD experience.
Job responsibilities include:
Serving as the direct supervisor of the direct support staff and assisting in interviewing, hiring, orienting and training.
Participating in the company's on-call system (Community Homes and Community-Based Program Supervisors only).
Ensuring the health, safety and welfare of the individuals within the program.
Coordinating and ensuring the development of schedules, activities and routines and actively promoting opportunities for individuals to participate in community integrated activities.
Transporting and/or coordinating transportation for individuals in personal or company vehicles for meetings, appointments or community activities.
Serving as an active member of the service team in the coordination of services and communicating relevant information to families and other professionals as necessary.
Overseeing and maintaining records pertaining to inventory, both for company owned property and possessions belonging to individuals.
Accounting for all individual funds and petty cash funds; maintaining an adequate supply of funds for the individuals and the home.
Adhering to the program budget for food, household and operating supplies.
Knowledge of and ability to adhere to a professional code of ethics.
Performing job responsibilities of direct care staff.
Qualifications include:
A high school diploma or equivalent, and 1 year working experience in programs for individuals with mental illness/intellectual and developmental disabilities.
Additional requirements include:
Must have a valid driver's license, good driving record, and access to a reliable vehicle to attend trainings, meetings, and/or transport individuals to appointments.
Must be able to work flexible hours.
