The Role

This Director-level position is responsible for leading

ambulatory access operations across multiple specialties

, ensuring patients can efficiently enter and navigate the UVA Health system. You will work in a

fast-paced, highly matrixed environment

, partnering closely with physicians, administrators, and operational leaders to drive measurable improvements.

On a day-to-day basis, you will:

Lead and develop

layered teams

, including managers, supervisors, and frontline leaders, fostering accountability and performance consistency

Oversee enterprise access functions such as:

Scheduling operations and template optimization

Referral management

Contact center performance

Capacity management and patient throughput

Use

data, analytics, and performance metrics

toidentifygaps and implement scalable solutions that improve patient access and operational outcomes

Drive

change management initiatives

tied tonew technologies, workflows, and access strategies across multiple service lines

Collaborate with

physicians and senior leadership

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Education: Master’s degree required; a combination of relevant experience and education may be considered in lieu of degree requirement.

Experience: 7+ years of relevant experience, to include 4+ years of formal management experience.

Licensure: None.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The pay range for this role is $91,329.00 - $182,658.00 annually. Individual compensation will be determined by the selected candidate's qualifications, previous work experience, and/or education.
