Job Summary/Basic Function

Create and manage engaging social media and multimedia content for platforms such as TikTok and Instagram to support Admissions and New Student Programs initiatives. Assist with content planning, filming, editing, publishing, and monitoring digital content that promotes campus experiences, student engagement, and university events. Collaborate with staff and student leaders to develop trend-driven content that enhances communication and audience engagement.

Preferred Relevant Education and Experience
Strong understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and social media trends.
Experience creating, filing, editing, and publishing short-form social media content
Comfortable capturing photo and video content using smartphones or cameras.
Familiarity with video editing software such as CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar platforms.
Experience with Canva or other graphic design and content creation tools.
Strong communication, storytelling, and creative thinking skills.
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced enviorment.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple deadlines and projects.
Interest in social media marketing, digital storytelling, multimedia production, productions, communications, or higher education engagement.
Familiarity with social media scheduling tools, analytics, audience engagementstrategies, and trend forecasting is preferred.
Expeerience managing personal, organizational, or student organization social media acccount is preferred.
Students pursuing coursework or experience in communications, marketing, digital media, public relations, journalism, or relaed fields are encouraged to apply.

Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Create engaging multimedia and Social media content for TikTok, Instagram and other digital platforms.
Assist with planning and maintaining social media content calendars and campaign schedules.
Research and monitor current social media trends, audio, hashtags, and platform best practices to develop relevant content ideas.
Film and edit short-form video content highlighting campus life, student experiences, orientation events, campus visits, commuter life, and student programming.
Capture photo and and video content during admissions events, orientation programs, campus visits, and and student activities.
Write captions, organize content assets, and prepare posts for publication.
Upload, schedule, and monitor social media content across platforms.
Track Audience engagement and assist with monitory social media performance and analytics.
Collaborate with professional staff and student leaders to develop creative campaign ideas and storytelling opportunities.
Maintain consistency with university branding, messaging, and communication standards.
Assist with live event coverage and real-time social media updates as needed.
Support additional multimedia and digital communication projects as assigned.
