Information Technology Associate

California State Parks is seeking an Information Technology Associate (Telecommunications) to support statewide telecom services that keep our parks and staff connected. This position plays a key role in providing telecom support, maintaining connectivity records, and assisting with equipment and service operations across the department.
Duties
Serve as first-level support for telecom inquiries; create and update service tickets
Gather initial troubleshooting details and escalate per procedures
Validate carrier repair work and maintain telecom inventory
Process service and equipment requests; assist with invoice review
Track connectivity issues, outages, and maintenance notifications
Assist with basic connection tests, circuit verification, and record updates
Support equipment deployment, shipping/receiving, and lifecycle tracking
Maintain documentation, diagrams, and user instructions

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to follow documented workflows
• Interested in learning telecom and enterprise support processes
• Professional, reliable, and comfortable working with technical and non-technical staff
• Committed to a respectful, inclusive, and safe workplace environment
Travel is required. Possession of a Class C Drivers License is required.
Training and Development Assignments may be considered.
This position is designated as telework eligible- office centered.
