Category Manager - Metals

Owning the overall strategy for assigned metal product categories, the full-time salaried Category Manager - Metals will manage supplier relationships, lead negotiations, and collaborate cross-functionally to drive profitable growth and optimize inventory.
Key responsibilities

Own the end-to-end category strategy for Metals, including supplier performance management and new product introductions
Lead supplier negotiations on pricing, contracts, and commercial agreements
Collaborate with Supply Chain and Marketing to optimize inventory levels and execute differentiated marketing programs

Required qualifications

Associate's degree (A.A.) or equivalent required; Bachelor's degree preferred
4+ years of experience in purchasing, category management, or sales within wholesale distribution, preferably in metals
Strong understanding of metal commodities and pricing dynamics
Proven ability to manage supplier relationships and pricing strategies
Strong analytical and negotiation skills with cross-functional collaboration experience
