Overview Director of Commercial, New Business (North America) reports to the Chief Commercial Officer. Location: North America (Remote/Hybrid with travel as required).
Responsibilities Identify, qualify, and secure new commercial opportunities with sports leagues, teams, federations, broadcasters, streaming platforms, brands, agencies, and rights holders.
Build executive-level relationships with key decision-makers and establish the company as a trusted strategic partner.
Lead the complete enterprise sales cycle, from prospecting and discovery through proposal development, negotiation, and contract execution.
Develop creative commercial solutions that maximize value for clients while aligning with company objectives.
Commercial Leadership Drive revenue growth by positioning virtual advertising, LED, and media solutions within targeted markets.
Sell complex technology solutions by translating technical capabilities into clear business value for customers.
Understand the evolving North American sports, media, broadcasting, streaming, and advertising landscape to identify opportunities.
Shape the future of sports advertising by helping clients adopt innovative commercial technologies.
Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and executive meetings.
Cross-Functional Collaboration Partner with Product, Engineering, Technology, Operations, and Pre-Sales teams to develop tailored client solutions.
Collaborate with Account Management to identify expansion opportunities within existing clients.
Support technical discovery sessions, product demonstrations, proof-of-concepts, and client presentations.
Ensure smooth transitions of new opportunities from sales through implementation and delivery.
Provide market feedback that informs product development and commercial strategy.
Pipeline & Forecasting Develop, maintain, and manage a healthy pipeline of qualified opportunities.
Master pipeline management and convert sales data into actionable, accurate revenue forecasts.
Utilize CRM systems and sales analytics to monitor performance and inform strategic decision-making.
Deliver consistent forecasting updates and commercial insights to executive leadership.
Achieve or exceed annual sales and revenue objectives.
Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience.
8+ years of sales or business development, or commercial leadership experience.
Proven success selling complex technology solutions into enterprise organizations (technology sales experience is preferred).
Experience within sports, media, advertising, sponsorship, media rights, sports technology, SaaS, or related industries.
Demonstrated success developing new business and closing high-value partnerships.
Strong understanding of the evolving North American media, sports, and broadcasting landscape.
Experience working with broadcasters, streaming platforms, leagues, teams, brands, agencies, or rights holders.
Strong consultative selling, negotiation, and executive relationship management skills.
Ability to translate technical capabilities into compelling commercial value propositions.
Strong commercial acumen, analytical skills, and forecasting experience.
Willingness to travel throughout North America.
Preferred Qualifications Experience with virtual advertising, LED technology, sports technology, digital media, or broadcast technology.
Knowledge of media rights, sponsorship activation, fan engagement, or sports commercialization.
Experience working within international or matrixed organizations.

Base Salary: $180,000–$210,000 USD per year, plus a very appealing variable compensation plan.
Note: Compensation estimates are based on New York market rates and apply to positions located in New York only. Compensation for roles based outside New York may vary to reflect local market conditions.
