Sports Writer

To support a growing K-12 program, the full-time remote Sports Writer will create feature stories, blog posts, and copy for various platforms, ensuring consistent brand voice while engaging families and fans.
Key responsibilities

Write feature stories on athletes, coaches, and games to provide insight into the program
Produce content marketing materials, including blog posts and newsletters, to attract prospective families
Handle copywriting for landing pages, ad campaigns, and social media, adapting voice to different platforms

Required qualifications

Portfolio of published writing that includes features, content marketing, and copywriting
Experience writing across various formats, including long-form and short-form content
Background in sports or athletic content, with prior work covering youth or professional athletics
Strong editorial judgment to identify compelling stories and edit content effectively
Fluency in content marketing principles, including SEO and persuasive copywriting techniques
