Role Summary:
As (Volunteer) Director of Communications, you will lead the development and execution of Gender Freedom Society’s communication strategies, overseeing design, podcasts, IT, and social media teams to ensure consistent, impactful messaging.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement communication strategies to promote GFS’s mission and programs.
Oversee creative teams, including graphic design, podcast production, IT, and social media management.
Monitor communication effectiveness and collaborate with teams to maintain brand consistency.
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree in Communications, Marketing, Journalism, Public Relations, or related field.
Strong leadership skills with experience managing communications teams.
Proficient in communication tools, graphic design, podcasting, and social media platforms.
Manage media relations and develop contacts with media members, influencers, and community leaders.
Lead a team of communication, marketing, and design professionals.
Assist in the creation of digital, video, audio and print content.
Proficiency with Google Workspace preferred.
