Role Overview
PHI is seeking a creative, organized, and mission‑driven Social Media Coordinator to manage our social channels, support digital campaigns, and analyze engagement metrics. This volunteer will help shape PHI’s online voice, expand our reach, and strengthen our connection with communities and supporters.
This is an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in digital communications, public health advocacy, nonprofit marketing, or social media strategy.
Key Responsibilities
Manage social media channels across platforms such as Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, and X
Develop and schedule content including posts, stories, graphics, and short‑form videos
Support digital campaigns for awareness, fundraising, and volunteer recruitment
Monitor engagement, respond to comments/messages, and maintain a positive online presence
Track analytics to measure performance and recommend improvements
Collaborate with PHI’s communications and program teams to ensure consistent messaging
Stay informed about trends in public health, global health, and nonprofit communications
Assist with brand storytelling and community engagement initiatives
Qualifications
Strong understanding of major social media platforms
Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
Creative mindset with an eye for visual storytelling
Ability to interpret analytics and engagement data
Organized, reliable, and able to manage multiple tasks
Interest in public health, community development, or nonprofit work
Experience with Canva, scheduling tools, or content creation is helpful but not required
