W SPEC Inc. is hiring: Public Relations (PR) Specialist in Brooklyn

WSPEC, a global non-profit, is accelerating the realization of a space elevator through targeted STEAM competitions . We are looking for a creative public relations expert to shape our public narrative and grow our global presence. You will help develop and execute a communications strategy that builds our brand and engages our community of innovators, sponsors, and partners.
What You'll Do:
Develop media relationships to secure positive press coverage and write compelling press releases for major announcements .
Work with the marketing team and lead the strategy and content creation for the official WSPEC newsletter to engage our community.
Maintain relationships with partner organizations and media contacts and ensure all external communications align with WSPEC’s mission and vision .
What We're Looking For:
Experience in public relations or communications with a track record of securing media coverage
Exceptional writing and editing skills, with experience planning and managing newsletters or email campaigns.
Ability to translate complex technical concepts into engaging stories for a broad audience.
A genuine passion for space exploration, technology, and STEAM education
