Work Study - Fall '26 Multimedia Marketing Intern

The Student Multimedia Marketing Intern supports the Strategic Communications and Marketing team in promoting university life through engaging, multi-platform content. This role provides hands-on experience in writing, design, photography, video, and social media while contributing to the university’s overall marketing and communication efforts.
Key Responsibilities

Create and edit content for web, email, and other university communications
Design graphics and layouts for digital and print materials, including social media, promotional pieces, and special projects
Capture photo and video content for use in university marketing materials
Develop engaging multimedia content, including short-form videos, reels, and visual storytelling assets
Write and edit captions and other copy for social media and university publications
Collaborate with team members to generate content ideas and storytelling strategies
Conduct interviews with students, faculty, and staff to support storytelling efforts
Edit photos and videos using industry-standard tools
Provide photo and video coverage at campus events
Required Qualifications

Current McMurry University student in good academic standing
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Interest in marketing, communications, media, or a related field
Familiarity with major social media platforms
Basic knowledge of photography, video, or design tools (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite) preferred
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively
