Position Description
The Multimedia Content Writer promotes and advances the TTUHSC brand by serving as a member of the Communications & Marketing team and as a direct liaison to the Office of Research and Innovation. Develops engaging, brand-oriented written content for print and digital media for a variety of internal and external audiences. This title is restricted for use in the Office of Communications and Marketing. Remote work is available;new employees will have a 90-day probationary period, at which time remote work will be discussed.

Major/Essential Functions
Identifies, develops and delivers compelling multimedia content.
Creates strategic internal and external communications across a variety of platforms.
Develops ideas that translate complex scientific, academic and institutional initiatives into clear, compelling content that highlights innovation, impact and the university's mission.
Collaborates internally and cross-campus on planning & idea generation.
Serves as the marketing and media liaison forall project requests fromTTUHSC Abilene.
Reports to the Assistant Director of Social Media & Digital Storytelling.

Preferred Qualifications
Experience in digital and multimedia storytelling.
Experience and/or knowledge of AP Style.
Experience developing content for both print and digital platforms.
Experience in executing social media for a brand.

Experience in higher education, specifically research institutions or health sciences settings.

Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university in creative writing, public relations, advertising, marketing or related field; two years related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience to equal six years.

Visa Information
TTUHSC, at its sole discretion, may initiate new H-1B I-129 visa petitions in accordance with the directive issued by Governor Abbott. Approval from the Texas Workforce Commission is required. On a limited, case-by-case basis, the institution may also sponsor eligible individuals for change-of-status or change-of-employer petitions for qualifying positions. TTUHSC will not pay the $100,000 fee, if applicable.
