POSITION SUMMARY:
The Business Development & Pitch Coordinator is responsible for supporting the efforts of the Business Development & Marketing Department, including a large focus on supporting the winning of work through pitches and RFPs. This includes generating early drafts of pitch materials, presentations, proposal outlines and other materials as needed, project and event coordination and management, as well as assisting with research and competitive intelligence requests and other business development-related needs. This is a valued position that helps drive the department’s initiatives throughout various practice groups, industry groups, and clients. Additional responsibilities include maintaining practice literature and lawyer biographies; helping draft and edit submissions for surveys, awards and legal directories; coordinating sponsorships and associated promotion; generating analytics; and business development targeting.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Business development support, including generating pitch material, presentations (PowerPoint), proposals and timelines; support in proofreading and pitch preparation
Sponsorship coordination and event planning support, including generating mailing lists, creating and distributing invitations, securing approvals, developing ad concepts and copy, maintaining RSVP lists and creating name tags, project planning, business development targeting, debrief activities, and related activities
Coordinate distribution of client alerts and newsletters, including collaboration with conflict checks, proofing, obtaining approvals, and supporting general efforts of quality control and exigent delivery
Act as project coordinator on non-CLE webinar process, delegating responsibilities across departments and ensuring deadlines and deliverables are handled and met
Support practice group and client team structure by assisting with agenda planning, meetings, and consistent follow-up and accountability measures that drive productivity amongst partners
Directories and surveys support, including project management and submission preparation
Conduct research on competitors, clients, prospects, markets, etc.
Update and track metrics related to communications and business development efforts/opportunities
Draft, edit, and facilitate content for firm website and intranet
Track matters for practice and industry groups
QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS
Bachelor’s degree in a discipline requiring writing, research and analysis preferred or equivalent work experience.
Three or more years of marketing or business development experience.
Law firm experience is a plus.
Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook), experience with InterAction, Vuture, Foundation, SharePoint a plus. Strong verbal and written skills
Detail-oriented and highly organized
Ability to generate written deliverables for internal and external audiences, often on short notice
Ability to manage competing deadlines and collaborate with very busy partners
Ability to multi-task and prioritize work effort
Ability to work under pressure

The anticipated pay range for this role is $65,000 - $85,000. The actual offered rate for this position will be determined based on several factors, including qualifications and experience, geographic location, education, external market data, and consideration of internal equity.
