Location: New York, NY (On-Site, 5 days a week in office)

The Role
Team Roc, Roc Nation’s philanthropic and justice division, is seeking a highly organized Social Media Coordinator to execute digital marketing and social media strategy for our portfolio of philanthropic foundations. Reporting to the Director of Digital Marketing & Strategy, you will translate high-level vision into actionable content, manage multi-channel calendars, and drive community engagement.

We are looking for a proactive, solution-oriented professional with strong operational instincts and a commitment to amplifying our social impact initiatives. You will thrive in this fast-paced environment by managing day-to-day operations with precision and taking ownership of our digital reach.

Responsibilities

Develop and manage content calendars across Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube, and LinkedIn for multiple foundation accounts

Write on-brand copy and captions grounded in strong copywriting skills and aligned with each foundation's mission

Maintain quarterly planning to stay ahead of content scheduling and avoid last‑minute execution

Publish, schedule, and redistribute content; configure keyword monitoring alerts

Monitor community engagement and respond to comments/DMs in a timely, on‑brand manner

Plan and execute content coverage for live events from planning through on-ground execution

Perform website updates with news, events, and campaign information

Track performance metrics, compile reporting, and proactively flag trends, risks, and opportunities

Stay ahead of social media trends, platform shifts, and nonprofit sector best practices

Support leadership by documenting meetings, tracking deliverables, and organizing tasks for team visibility

Coordinate across internal teams and external partners to keep projects and timelines on track

Contribute ideas for new campaigns and engagement strategies to expand impact and reach

Capture and coordinate content during live events and interviews (mobile, on‑site)

All other duties, as assigned

Qualifications

Strong writing and copywriting skills, specifically in philanthropy or mission‑driven content

Proficiency with social media scheduling/management tools

Strong knowledge of Canva and/or Adobe Creative Suite

Experience with video editing and light graphic design

Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and prioritize effectively in fast‑paced environments

Ability to accommodate digital requests beyond office hours and respond to breaking news/cultural moments

Familiarity with data and paid media

Video capturing and interview coordination experience

Knowledge of or genuine passion for sports

Deeply cares about social impact, community, and philanthropy

Highly organized with strong operational skills; owns processes end-to-end

Proactive by nature; predicts needs and acts without waiting to be asked

Hyper‑attentive to detail with ability to catch what others miss

Thrives in fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environments while maintaining organization and composure

Strong project planning capabilities and proven track record of meeting deadlines

Demonstrates sophisticated design sensibility and can offer constructive creative critique

Education And Experience Requirements

3+ years of digital marketing, content creation, and philanthropy‑related experience (nonprofit, corporate social responsibility, or entertainment sectors preferred)

Proven track record with social media for nonprofits, foundations, or social impact brands

Experience supporting leadership directly and familiarity with organizational processes

Spanish fluency a plus, but not required

The Expected Compensation For This Position Is
$60,000.00 USD - $75,000.00 USD

Pay is based on a number of factors including market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
