Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Manager, Organic Search (SEO & AEO) to lead and execute the enterprise-wide organic search strategy across web, mobile applications, local listings, and emerging AI‑powered search platforms. This individual will be responsible for driving sustainable organic traffic growth, increasing digital customer acquisition, and maximizing online revenue through advanced Search Engine Optimization (SEO) and Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies.
The ideal candidate is a strategic yet hands-on search marketing professional with deep technical SEO expertise, experience managing enterprise-scale websites, and a proven history of improving organic performance. This role partners closely with Digital, Marketing, Product, Technology, Analytics, Content, and external agency partners to develop and execute initiatives that directly impact business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and lead the enterprise organic search strategy across websites, mobile applications, local listings, and AI‑driven search platforms.
Drive measurable improvements in organic traffic, search visibility, digital acquisition, and revenue.
Optimize large‑scale websites and location pages to improve search performance.
Develop and execute Answer Engine Optimization (AEO) strategies to improve visibility across AI‑powered search experiences and zero‑click search environments.
Monitor and analyze SEO performance using Google Search Console, GA4, and enterprise SEO platforms to identify growth opportunities.
Conduct technical SEO audits, log file analysis, and ongoing site health assessments.
Partner with Engineering, Product, Content, Analytics, and Marketing teams to implement SEO best practices.
Manage SEO agencies and external partners while ensuring alignment with business objectives.
Present SEO strategy, performance insights, and recommendations to executive leadership.
Stay current with Google algorithm updates, AI search trends, and emerging search technologies.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, Computer Science, Communications, or a related field.
5-8+ years of hands‑on SEO experience within enterprise environments.
Proven success increasing organic traffic and recovering websites from traffic declines or algorithm updates.
Experience managing enterprise websites with extensive content libraries and multi‑location pages.
Strong technical SEO expertise including:
Structured Data / Schema Markup
Core Web Vitals
Page Experience Optimization
Crawl Budget & Indexation
Experience with Google Search Console, GA4, BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs, Conductor, Screaming Frog, or similar SEO platforms.
Experience optimizing Local SEO and Google Business Profiles.
Familiarity with AI Search, Google AI Overviews, Answer Engine Optimization (AEO), and zero‑click search trends.
Strong analytical, project management, and executive communication skills.
Ability to influence cross‑functional teams and drive initiatives without direct authority.
Experience in retail, QSR, franchise, eCommerce, or other multi‑location businesses is strongly preferred.
