Project Manager Assistant (PMA) – Duke Reading Center
As a vital member of a collaborative team supporting clinical research and imaging activities at the Duke Reading Center, you will coordinate and manage clinical trial data, images, and study‑related activities.
Responsibilities
Report to the Administrative Manager and assist the Project Manager with diverse duties.
Perform research and administrative tasks for clinical trials, including collection, documentation, and compilation of research images and data under the Project Manager’s direction.
Assist with assigning reader grading tasks, filing study documents, distributing site initiation forms, tracking certification of site technicians, and tracking submission of images and functional tests for grading.
Support data queries, data entry (DE), source document verification (SDV), and quality control (QC) activities such as reconciliation and reconciliation verification (RV).
Communicate with sites, sponsors, and CROs regarding study specifics and image issues.
Assist with study startup and site certification activities.
Track, confirm, and document receipt of all images and functional test materials received at DRC.
Manage certification reader assignments and assist with all other reader assignments as needed.
Respond to data queries as appropriate and prepare materials for data QC reviews.
Perform data entry, source document verification, filing, and other clerical duties as requested.
Assist all DRC staff members as necessary, attend DRC group meetings as needed, and provide coverage for assigned studies when the PM is out of the office.
Assist with training of new PMAs.
Education and Experience
Completion of a Bachelor’s Degree in a related field. Preference for at least one year of directly related experience in clinical research.

Capable of exercising good judgment.
Ability to be flexible when priorities change.
Ability to deal with a variety of constituents efficiently.
Ability to learn new programs quickly.
Organizational skills.
Ability to work under deadline pressure and prioritize work assignments.
Enjoys and can effectively multitask.
Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook.
Work Schedule
Regular, full‑time, 40 hours per week (52‑week year) position.
Compensation and Benefits
