The Global Head of Creative at Ben & Jerry’s is the steward of our brand’s imagination—leading bold, breakthrough creative expression and visual storytelling across all channels, all markets, and internally. This role shapes not only what we create, but how we create it—building and inspiring a creative team, evolving our design processes, and cultivating a dynamic capabilities network that meets the needs of the business today while pushing the boundaries of what’s next.

We are seeking a visionary leader with deep expertise in brand stewardship, values‑led brand building, and world‑class design – someone who can honor our iconic heritage and brand equity while fearlessly driving it forward. This role sits within the Global Integrated Marketing team and works hand in hand with our Digital Marketing, Consumer Insights, and Marketing Innovation teams to meet the creative needs of the business across all global markets.

Through your leadership, Ben & Jerry’s creative output will continue to spark joy, stand up for justice, and deepen love for our brand around the world.

Responsibilities
Creative Strategy & Brand Stewardship

Define and lead global brand creative strategy in partnership with marketing leadership

Lead the development of breakthrough creative ideas that connect with culture, community, and our 3‑part mission

Translate business and marketing strategy into compelling, insight‑driven creative execution

Own and evolve the overall look, feel, and voice of the brand across all channels and touchpoints, ensuring consistency & distinction

Lead end‑to‑end creative development across campaigns, content, and experiences

Creative Operations & Cross‑Functional Collaboration

Co‑create alongside marketing & digital partners, sharing a P&L, annual brand goal setting, and team accountability

Oversee all creative output across product, packaging, brand, and channels (digital, retail, experiential), with a solid understanding of content and social platforms

Establish and manage efficient creative processes, governance, and workflows

Partner cross‑functionally to ensure alignment, consistency, and quality in a matrixed global organization

Manage budgets, timelines, and resourcing in partnership with the Design Traffic Controller

Innovation & Capability Evolution

Evolve creative capabilities and resourcing models to meet changing market demands, ensuring team & ways of working are future‑ready

Foster a forward‑thinking creative environment focused on continuous improvement and long‑term excellence

Embed digital expertise and creative innovation (including AI and emerging technologies) into workflows, driving the integration of technologies & capabilities in partnership with Head of Digital Marketing

Team Leadership & Culture Building

Lead, coach, and develop a high‑performing, multidisciplinary, global creative team

Build a culture of creativity, collaboration, and accountability

Champion mentorship, growth, and fresh thinking across disciplines

Design Excellence

Maintain a high standard of craft across design, typography, and visual execution

Ensure best‑in‑class creative execution across digital, physical, and experiential formats

Be highly proficient in design, typography, and visual communications – proficient in Adobe Creative Cloud (Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects, Substance/Stager, Firefly, Premiere Pro), Canto, Canva, UI/UX software like Figma and Copilot.

Qualifications

10+ years of experience in creative design leadership roles

Bachelor’s degree (Design, Visual Communication, Marketing, Communications, or related field preferred)

Minimum of 3 years’ experience directly leading an in‑house creative department or agency creative team

Experience leading brand, content, digital and communication design, with substantial exposure to a wide variety of disciplines and channels

Expert knowledge of the creative process and what it takes to lead a large team across multiple departments, regions, and stakeholders to deliver industry‑changing communications

Exceptional decision‑making skills & stakeholder management – able to thrive in both highly autonomous & highly collaborative work environments

Excellent hiring, performance management, mentoring, and coaching skills to build a high‑performing creative team

Strong ability to establish and maintain effective, collaborative work relationships with diverse individuals, internally and externally through direct and positive communications

Experience managing freelancers, agencies, and vendors

Exceptional presentation and communication skills along with the ability to professionally communicate effectively in a multiple stakeholder environment and across all levels of the organization

Excellent proficiency in creative, graphic design, and social content development & production processes

Familiarity with consumer and popular culture trends

Proven ability to develop annual and strategic department plans and budgets

Willingness to work across time zones

Demonstrated understanding of company mission, goals and objectives

Cooperative team player with an upbeat, positive attitude and bias for action

Strong conceptual thinker with a portfolio demonstrating excellence in brand building, integrated marketing campaigns, and creative leadership

Compensation
Pay range: $119,400 to $179,000.

The position is bonus eligible and LTI eligible.
