The Opportunity
We're looking for a strategic, data‑driven and growth‑oriented Marketing Manager to join our high‑performing Marketing team—a central, highly visible function that partners across the organization and with executive leadership to shape the narrative of electric cooperatives nationwide.
You will be a trusted strategic partner responsible for developing and leading integrated marketing campaigns that directly influence product adoption, member engagement and revenue growth across NRECA's suite of programmes, services and educational offerings.
You’ll bring a modern marketer’s mindset—combining audience insights, data analytics and emerging tools like AI‑assisted content development—to design campaigns that drive measurable results. Along the way, you’ll help elevate how we go to market, telling compelling stories that demonstrate the value of NRECA membership and the impact of electric cooperatives.
What You'll Do
Lead Strategic Marketing Initiatives Develop and execute integrated marketing strategies that align to business goals and drive awareness, engagement, utilisation and revenue growth across key products and programmes.
Own Product and Value Storytelling Translate complex offerings into clear, compelling value propositions and messaging frameworks that resonate with diverse member audiences and differentiate in the marketplace.
Drive Multi‑Channel Campaigns Concept and deliver end‑to‑end campaigns across digital, email, social, web and event channels—optimising the right mix to reach and convert target audiences.
Leverage Data to Inform and Optimise Use audience segmentation, campaign performance metrics and insights (engagement, conversion, behaviour) to continuously refine strategies and improve results.
Bring a Modern Marketing Approach Utilise AI tools and marketing technologies to enhance content creation, streamline workflows and increase campaign effectiveness.
Act as a Strategic Partner Collaborate closely with cross‑functional stakeholders and senior leaders to define goals, assess opportunities, prioritise initiatives and deliver marketing solutions that drive impact.
Champion Focus and Effectiveness Evaluate incoming requests through a strategic lens—ensuring alignment, guiding stakeholders towards the most effective approach and protecting campaign integrity.
Collaborate Across Teams Partner with creative, communications and marketing operations teams to ensure cohesive execution, strong brand alignment and high‑quality deliverables.

This position is eligible for NRECA’s hybrid schedule which allows flexibility to work from home up to 2 days per week.
Qualifications
What You Bring
Required
5+ years of experience in marketing, ideally within a complex, matrixed organisation.
Proven ability to develop and execute integrated, multichannel campaigns that drive measurable outcomes.
Strong experience using data, audience segmentation and analytics to inform strategy and optimise performance.
A strategic mindset with the ability to connect marketing efforts to business impact and growth.
Exceptional communication skills with a talent for translating ideas into compelling, actionable messaging.
Preferred
Experience in product marketing, education, events or membership‑driven organisations.
Experience in a trade association or mission‑driven environment.
Essential Physical Requirements
The worker is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity such as preparing and analysing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal and extensive reading.
Exerting up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg controls requires exertion of forces greater than that for sedentary work and the worker sits most of the time, the job is rated for light work.
Salary range: $101,000–$124,000 annual salary.
Final compensation determined by individual qualifications, experience and internal equity.
