Job Roles & Responsibilities
Account Management & Client Service
Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned commercial accounts, ensuring timely and effective communication with clients.
Address client inquiries, manage endorsements, renewals, and claims with precision and speed.
Review client portfolios regularly, ensuring adequate coverage and identifying opportunities for cross‑selling or up‑selling additional products.
Client Retention & Satisfaction
Manage the renewal process, proactively identifying coverage gaps and presenting alternative solutions to maintain high client retention rates.
Conduct periodic reviews and coverage assessments with clients to enhance satisfaction and ensure proper risk management.
Team Collaboration
Collaborate with underwriters, claims specialists, and sales teams to deliver seamless service and ensure the best outcomes for clients.
Provide input on client needs, market trends, and service improvements to management.
Documentation & Compliance
Ensure accurate documentation of client interactions, policies, and changes within the agency management system.
Stay updated on industry trends and regulatory requirements to provide compliant and relevant coverage solutions.
Sales Support & Strategy
Assist Account Executives with new business development by supporting sales presentations, providing coverage recommendations, and preparing proposals.
Contribute to the growth of Benchmark’s market share by actively identifying leads and referring prospects.
Qualifications Needed
State‑issued, valid insurance license(s) required: Property and Casualty Insurance License (required)
Previous experience in the insurance industry as an account manager for commercial lines (required)
A thorough understanding of a variety of insurance company policies and insurance coverage offerings, including their costs and benefits
Sound knowledge or eagerness to learn the intricacies of working procedures within commercial enterprises to best advise clients on relevant policies
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs such as Word and Excel (required)
