The building is home to a variety of amenities, including restaurants, a fitness center, and collaborative workspaces, creating a vibrant and dynamic work environment in one of Chicago's most iconic areas.Role OverviewThe Manager, Social Media is responsible for elevating Cboe’s presence in the social conversation.  This is a strategic, high visibility role – developing and managing the social media strategy that positions Cboe as an influential voice in global markets, running a social intelligence practice that informs decisions across businesses, and helping protect and strengthen Cboe’s brand across every channel.  Additionally, this role will oversee the day-to-day channel operations, and serves as the primary liaison between marketing, communications, and key business stakeholders to bring Cboe’s story to life every day.What You’ll DoLead the strategyDevelop and execute an integrated social media strategy aligned with Cboe's marketing and communications objectives across brand and our core business linesEstablish channel-specific content plans, editorial calendars, and publishing cadences that reflect audience needs and platform best practicesPartner with the broader marketing team to ensure social media programs support brand campaigns, product launches, thought leadership initiatives, and key market events (e.g., bell ringings, product launches, regulatory milestones). Identify opportunities to expand Cboe's social presence on emerging or underutilized platformsRun the channelsOversee day-to-day content production and publishing across all owned channels (LinkedIn, X/Twitter, Facebook, Instagram, YouTube) with a focus on quality, consistency, and complianceBe the platform owner for Sprout Social, including the social listening module and community management capabilitiesCollaborate with broader marketing and communications teams to produce high-quality assets optimized for each platform formatManage the social media content review and approval workflow, ensuring timely clearance in partnership with legal, compliance, and subject matter expertsMaintain and enforce brand standards, tone guidelines, and regulated industry requirements across all social channelsManage Cboe's executive social program: develop platform recommendations, content pipelines, and support for senior leaders and subject-matter experts to establish them as recognized voices on market structure, derivatives, volatility, and market trendsAnalytics, Performance, Social IntelligenceDefine and track KPIs for organic social programs, including engagement rate, reach, follower growth, share of voice, and campaign-specific metricsLeverage social media management and analytics platforms (e.g., Sprout Social) to generate insights and inform optimizationPrepare regular performance reports for marketing leadership and business stakeholders, translating data into actionable recommendationsRun Cboe’s social listening practice:  manage tools and workflows that track brand health, sentiment, competitor activity, and emerging narratives across social platforms, forums, and financial communities Additionally, deliver intelligence reportingSurface reputational risks and viral narratives early, escalating to leadership with recommended responsesThe ideal candidate hasRequiredBachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, or a related field5+ years of experience in social media managementDemonstrated experience managing multi-channel social programs for a B2B or financial services organizationProficiency with social media management platforms (e.g., Sprout Social) and native platform analyticsStrong written communication skills with the ability to adapt voice and messaging across channels and audiencesExperience working in a regulated industry with content review and compliance workflowsAnalytical mindset with the ability to interpret performance data and translate insights into strategy adjustmentsExperience managing executive social media programs or thought leadership contentBenefits and Perks of working for Cboe Global MarketsWe value the total wellbeing of our people – including health, financial, personal and social wellness.
