Job Summary
Title: Graphic Designer – Motion. Location: New York, NY (On‑Site, 5 days a week in office). Reports to: Jr. Art Director.
Key Responsibilities
Own the full design process from ideation to completion for motion graphics.
Primary resource for motion graphics execution for the creative team.
Pre‑determine motion design needs and challenges, addressing them proactively with custom and templated solutions.
Assist in developing and producing graphic assets, image creation, typography and designs alongside the Art Director and Graphic Design Team.
Create and produce advertising, marketing and all collateral materials.
Collaborate with cross‑functional teams (creative, digital, brand, artist marketing) to fulfill asset needs.
Brainstorm and develop innovative ideas with the team.
Uphold Roc Nation brand standards.
Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
2+ years of experience in motion design and visual communication, preferably in entertainment or a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment.
Extensive experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, After Effects, InDesign).
Refined visual design skills with sense of timing, layout, transitions, and storytelling.
Proficient understanding of typography, color, design language.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, time management, and organization.
Ability to work independently, multi‑task, and with a team.
Genuine interest in commercial arts and the entertainment industry.
Willingness to learn, take direction, and adapt to change.
Basic project management capability.
Understanding of Roc Nation brand and its verticals.
Portfolio (PDF or online) required.
Education & Experience Requirements
Minimum 2+ years of experience in motion design and visual communication. Preferably in the entertainment sector or a fast‑paced, high‑volume environment. Applicants for employment in the U.S. must possess work authorization that does not require sponsorship.
Compensation
$64,000.00 – $80,000.00 USD annually. Pay based on market location, qualifications, skills, and experience.
