Overview Amazon Music is an immersive audio entertainment service that deepens connections between fans, artists, and creators. We offer experiences across playlists, podcasts, livestreams, and consumer tiers, and are seeking to influence how Amazon Music engages fans, artists, and creators on a global scale.
Responsibilities Develop causal models to evaluate the impact of marketing campaigns and initiatives using advanced statistical methods to identify and quantify causal relationships.
Design, build, and validate models and experiments to assess marketing effectiveness.
Design and implement randomized controlled trials (RCTs) with robust experimental design to derive credible insights.
Perform complex statistical analyses of experiments and observational studies using programming languages and statistical software to analyze large datasets.
Provide data-driven recommendations to marketing teams to enhance campaign performance and ROI; present findings to stakeholders in a clear and actionable manner.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams (marketing, product, engineering) to identify key business questions and develop analytical solutions; promote a data-informed decision-making culture.
Stay current with industry trends in data science, causal inference, and marketing analytics; apply new methodologies to improve accuracy and efficiency of measurement.
Maintain comprehensive documentation of models, experiments, and analytical processes; prepare reports and presentations for non-technical audiences.
Qualifications Basic Qualifications: PhD, or Master’s degree and 4+ years of quantitative field research experience; experience applying scientific principles to business problems; experience analyzing both experimental and observational data sets; experience with causal modeling (e.g., graphical models, causal Bayesian networks, potential outcomes, A/B testing, quasi-experiments).
Preferred Qualifications: Knowledge of R, MATLAB, Python or similar; experience with agile development; experience building web-based dashboards; experience in machine learning, statistics, and deep learning; experience with data mining on large datasets; experience working with cross-functional teams.
