Director, Sales & Operations Planning (S&OP)
The Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) is hiring a Director of S&OP to align demand, supply, and inventory across our ISG ISO ESMB organization. Reporting to the Executive Director, ESMB Commercial Group Operations, this leader connects GEO planning, Sales, and the Global Supply Chain (GSC) to translate sales forecasts, demand plans, and incoming supply into a single executable plan – and leads a team of demand, supply, and inventory planning experts who own its execution.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the S&OP Process

Lead and manage the monthly S&OP cycle

Facilitate cross-functional S&OP meetings

Build consensus across business functions on a single, executable plan

Lead and develop a team of demand, supply, and inventory planning experts (full people‑management responsibility)

2. Demand & Supply Alignment

Develop and refine sales forecasts (short‑, mid‑, and long‑term)

Align forecasts with production capacity and inventory plans

Balance supply and demand while meeting service and cost objectives

Ensure production and capacity plans meet demand

Support product launches and supply readiness

3. Manage Inventory and Excess

Optimize inventory levels and availability to meet service and turn targets

Identify excess inventory by reviewing stock positions against demand forecasts, and partner with Sales, Marketing, and Operations on mitigation—price adjustments, promotions, bundling, and liquidation—to protect profitability

4. Initiate and Manage Buy Aheads

Partner with GEO Planning and GSC to develop and execute strategic component buy‑aheads ahead of supply constraints or pricing inflections

Monitor buy‑ahead inventory positions against unit and margin targets, and adjust as conditions change

5. Continuous Improvement and Transformation

Drive transformation initiatives across the planning organization, including:

Improving forecasting processes and planning tools

Implementing data‑driven planning systems and automation

Advancing S&OP process maturity against industry benchmarks

6. Analytics & Performance Management

Analyze forecast accuracy, demand variability, and supply constraints to identify risks, gaps, and opportunities

Define, track, and report S&OP KPIs (forecast accuracy, plan attainment, inventory turns, service levels) to executive leadership

Basic Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration or a related field

8+ years of previous experience in supply chain

Previous experience in a planning role

Experience with ERP or planning tools (e.g., SAP IBP, Blue Yonder, etc.)

Strong understanding of supply chain processes

Preferred Qualifications

Strong communication skills at all levels, including with cross‑functional executives

Ability to quickly solve ambiguous problems with limited data by utilizing analytic skills and judgment gained during prior experiences
