POLYWOOD has grown through innovation, craftsmanship, and a deep commitment to making products that last. Today, we build on demand and direct ship our products through our Syracuse, IN operation. As we continue to grow, we are looking for a leader who can strengthen our distribution, shipping, logistics, warehouse organization, systems, and team capability.

This role will oversee the Syracuse, IN location. The focus is distribution and logistics execution, getting product organized, staged, loaded, shipped, and tracked accurately, safely, and efficiently. This is less about contract negotiation and more about building an operation that flows.

There is meaningful opportunity here.

Our systems and processes have not all kept pace with our growth, and we are committed to improving them. Today, there are places where the operation is harder than it needs to be. The right leader will help us identify those issues, build practical solutions, and create better visibility, accountability, and execution.

This is not a broken operation. It is also not yet a perfectly oiled machine. The right person will see that honestly, roll up their sleeves, bring structure, develop leaders, improve systems, and find real reward in making the operation better.

Where You Will Make an Impact

Leading distribution and logistics for our Syracuse, IN operation Improving how product is organized, picked, staged, loaded, shipped, and tracked

Strengthening the flow of finished goods from production through shipment

Partnering closely with Sales on order status, shipping timing, customer needs, and issue resolution

Building better operating rhythms, reporting, visibility, and accountability across the distribution function

Identifying process and system issues that slow the team down and helping build practical solutions

Improving inventory flow, warehouse organization, location logic, picking efficiency, dock flow, trailer utilization, and shipping accuracy

Developing supervisors and leaders so the operation becomes stronger at every level

Partnering with Operations, Manufacturing, Planning, Logistics, Supply Chain, Customer Experience, IT, and senior leadership

Using data to understand performance, identify trends, and make better operational decisions

Helping POLYWOOD build scalable distribution practices that support future growth

What You Bring
You are an experienced distribution, shipping, logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, or operations leader who knows how to improve complex operations. You understand how people, product, systems, data, and process need to work together.

You do not need everything to be perfect before you can make progress. In fact, you are energized by the opportunity to create clarity, solve problems, develop leaders, and help an operation become stronger than it was before.

You have led teams in environments where accuracy, speed, safety, quality, service, and cost all matter. You are comfortable working cross-functionally, especially with Sales and operations partners, and you know how to translate business needs into practical execution.

Experience in a build-on-demand, made-to-order, direct-ship, high-mix manufacturing, large-parcel, LTL, truckload, fulfillment, warehouse, or distribution environment would be especially valuable.

Analytics experience would also be a plus, especially if you have worked with tools such as Databricks or similar platforms to better understand operational performance, order flow, inventory movement, or shipping trends.

Most importantly, you are a builder. You see what could be better, create a plan, bring people with you, and make it happen.

What Will Make You Stand Out

Experience leading distribution, shipping, logistics, warehouse, fulfillment, or operational teams

Experience in a build-on-demand, made-to-order, direct-ship, or high-mix manufacturing environment

Strong background in warehouse organization, picking efficiency, dock flow, staging, loading, trailer utilization, shipping accuracy, and labor planning

Experience improving systems, processes, inventory movement, and operational visibility

Experience developing supervisors, leads, or frontline leaders

Comfort partnering with Sales on order status, shipping timing, and customer-related priorities

Analytics experience, including tools such as Databricks or similar platforms

A track record of creating structure, improving performance, and building scalable processes

The ability to be both strategic and hands-on

This position is on-site in Syracuse, Indiana. Candidates should currently be local to the Syracuse, IN area or within a realistic commutable distance.
