Associate Director Regional Accounts - Oncology
Driving key account strategy and unlocking growth opportunities for Bayer’s oncology portfolio across the Greater Northeast region. The role involves building relationships with advanced-level stakeholders, conducting business reviews, leveraging data tools, and coordinating cross‑functional teams to execute account plans.
Key Responsibilities
Build and maintain relationships with key account stakeholders (C‑ and D‑level).
Conduct quarterly business reviews (QBRs).
Leverage data tools to identify growth opportunities.
Develop, implement, and measure cross‑functional account plans.
Monitor product pathway status and ensure appropriate positioning.
Unlock product growth opportunities in accordance with labeling and company policies.
Attend conferences, conventions, and trade shows to stay current on relevant topics.
Analyze and synthesize information from multiple sources to prioritize key account opportunities.
Collaborate with the cross‑functional team to build and implement account solutions and action plans.
Mobilize area customer team (Sales Consultant, Field Reimbursement, Nurse Educators, Medical Affairs, Regional Marketing) and HQ teams to implement key actions from the account plan.
Set account KPIs aligned to organizational and brand priorities, monitoring achievement of goals and updating the plan accordingly.
Build and maintain relationships with relevant 3rd parties (e.g., GPOs, diagnostic companies, industry & trade groups).
Facilitate high‑level collaboration across functions, reinforcing diverse perspectives to meet customer needs.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or 10 years of relevant experience in lieu of a bachelor’s degree.
5+ years of pharmaceutical or other healthcare‑related experience.
3+ years of customer‑facing oncology commercial experience.
Demonstrated skills in business planning, account planning, problem solving, contracting, and analytics.
Strong cross‑functional influence, communication, and conflict resolution skills.
Deep understanding of customer channels and market dynamics across oncology.
Experience in budget management.
Proficiency in PowerPoint and Excel.
Valid driver’s license with a clean record.
Business travel by air and car up to 50%; some weekend travel required.
Employees can expect an annual base salary between $162,000 and $243,000 with additional compensation potential through bonuses or commissions. Benefits include health, vision, dental, retirement, paid time off, sick leave, and other standard corporate benefits.
