VP, Marketing – Growing Real Estate Developer/Owner/Operator – Charlotte, NC Area – $160K–$200K + B
A growing, vertically integrated real estate company located near Charlotte, North Carolina is seeking a Vice President of Marketing to lead its branding, public relations, and communications strategy and execution. Due to continued growth, the company is looking for an experienced marketing leader who can strengthen its market presence, provide strategic direction, and continue building the function over time.
Core Responsibilities:
- Strategically develop and execute a comprehensive marketing and communications strategy aligned with the company’s growth objectives, brand identity, and long-term vision.
- Lead the continued development, positioning, and stewardship of the corporate brand across all business lines, properties, and markets.
- Create consistent brand standards, messaging, and visual guidelines to ensure a cohesive presence across internal and external communications.
- Oversee public relations strategy, including media outreach, press releases, executive communications, thought leadership, and reputation management.
- Build and maintain relationships with media, community, industry, and other key external stakeholders.
- Develop communications strategies that strengthen the company’s presence and reputation within the communities in which it operates.
- Oversee the development of marketing collateral, websites, social media content, digital campaigns, and other branded materials.
- Manage the company’s corporate communications calendar and ensure timely, coordinated messaging across relevant channels.
- Establish performance metrics and reporting tools to evaluate the effectiveness of marketing, communications, public relations, and community engagement efforts.
- Manage external agencies, consultants, vendors, and creative partners as needed.
- Develop and oversee the marketing budget, ensuring resources are allocated effectively across corporate and property-level initiatives.
- Lead, mentor, and develop marketing team members while helping establish a structure for the continued growth of the department.
- Serve as a strategic advisor to executive leadership on brand positioning, communications, reputation, and market visibility.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, public relations, business, hospitality, or a related field.
- Significant progressive experience in marketing, branding, communications, or public relations, including experience in a leadership capacity.
- Industry experience within real estate, hospitality, multifamily, residential development, lifestyle, or another guest- or consumer-focused environment is strongly preferred.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing organization-wide brand and communications strategies.
- Strong understanding of public relations, media relations, community engagement, and reputation management.
- Experience marketing properties, destinations, experiences, or consumer-facing brands across multiple locations or markets.
- Exceptional written, verbal, and presentation skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with executives, employees, media representatives, community partners, and other stakeholders.
- Strong creative judgment and the ability to translate business objectives into compelling messaging, campaigns, and brand experiences.
- Proven ability to operate both strategically and hands-on within a growing organization.
- Experience managing employees, external agencies, vendors, budgets, and multiple concurrent initiatives.
- Collaborative leadership style with the ability to influence across departments and build strong internal relationships.
- Familiarity with digital marketing, social media strategy, content development, website management, and marketing analytics.
Base Salary: $160-200k base plus bonus
