Position Summary
The post–doctoral research associate will work on identifying diverse thiosulfinate tolerance gene clusters in bacterial pathogens affecting Alliums. This position will functionally validate these clusters and assess their role in tolerating thiosulfinate in vitro and in vivo. Opportunities are also available to study molecular docking and identify suitable candidates that will make bacteria sensitive to thiosulfinates in Alliums. The incumbent will take a leadership role in data collection, data analysis, and compiling manuscripts for publication in appropriate journals. The position will work closely with different key industry stakeholders, could be involved in supervising undergraduates, and will present results at local and national conferences.
