Videographer Job at U.S. Senator Cory A. Booker (D-NJ) in Washington

The office of Senator Cory A. Booker (D-NJ) is seeking a Videographer / Video Editor. The position will be responsible for filming and producing content that supports Senator Booker’s policy and message agenda, including: (1) clipping and editing hearings, floor speeches, media appearances, and more; (2) conceptualizing and producing longer-form, creative video products integrating captured video, scripted content, and other multimedia elements synthesized into longer edits; and (3) producing videos optimized across platforms, including for traditional media distribution, YouTube, and vertical video formats (like Instagram Reels).
The successful candidate will also work to ensure the highest and most effective production quality across all video products, plan and outline schedules of deliverable video products, and attend events with Senator Booker to capture appearances. Requirements include: strong knowledge of all elements of production such as professional camera, lighting, and audio equipment as well as professional editing services and software; ability to edit rapidly to meet the pace of the news cycle and social media; 2+ years of video production experience; strong sense of video designed for social media distribution, including platform-specific optimizations; ability to maintain professionalism and quality of work amidst shifting schedules, compressed timelines, and while travelling.
In addition to a resume, applicants must submit 3-5 finished video samples, outlining their exact role in their production.
