The Great Falls Symphony is announcing auditions for the position of Principal Oboe, which is a permanent and tenure track role. The auditions will take place on September 14, 2026, at the Mansfield Theater in Great Falls, Montana. This position is per-service, with musician rates set at $120 per service for the 2026-2027 season. Additional compensation includes mileage reimbursement, per diem, and complimentary lodging if needed.The upcoming season will feature various performances, including six subscription concerts, a movie in concert, a chamber choir concert, and an education matinee. Interested candidates are required to submit a one-page resume via email to auditions@gfsymphony.org by September 8, 2026.Audition repertoire includes the Mozart Oboe Concerto in C Major, K. 314, as well as excerpts from works by Brahms, Ravel, Beethoven, Rossini, Tchaikovsky, Mendelssohn, Bach, and Strauss.
