The Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra is looking for a Principal Bassoon for the upcoming 2027-2028 season. Auditions are scheduled for September 28th and 29th, 2026, with resumes due by August 10th, 2026. The repertoire list and music packet will be available on the orchestra's website soon. The final round of auditions may or may not be screened.This position is tenure track and will involve a commitment of 46 weeks during the season, along with an additional 6 weeks for summer stipend. The principal scale for the 2026-2027 season is set at $82,889.56. The start date for this role will be in the fall of the 2027-2028 season or as mutually agreed upon.Interested candidates should complete the audition application via the provided Google Forms link.
