Role Overview

This Product Developer role supports the

GAP Specialty Adult Apparel

team, focusing on categories including:
Dresses
Knits
Sweaters
This is an

assistant-level position

supporting two Product Development Managers during a maternity leave. The role is responsible for supporting the product lifecycle from concept development through bulk production and store delivery.
Key Responsibilities

Support the Product Development team throughout the product lifecycle.
Coordinate with cross-functional teams including Design, Merchandising, Planning, and Technical Design.
Enter, compile, and analyze product costing information while identifying discrepancies.
Track concept samples and ensure timely delivery from mills and vendors.
Manage Time & Action (T&A) calendars to meet development milestones.
Communicate daily with overseas sourcing teams.
Build strong partnerships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Support related product development systems and processes.
Required Skills

Strong proficiency in

Microsoft Excel

and

Microsoft Outlook .
Excellent organizational and time management skills.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Willingness to ask questions and seek guidance when needed.
Preferred Qualifications

2–3 years of experience in a corporate product development environment.
Experience in apparel or fashion product development.
Familiarity with Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) systems such as:
Centric PLM
TradeStone
Bamboo Rose
Product Costing Tools
Experience working with overseas vendors or sourcing teams is a plus.
Global supplier experience is preferred but not required.
Cross-Functional & Global Collaboration

Daily communication with GAP International teams located in:
Hong Kong
Vietnam
India
Weekly meetings with:
Design
Planning
Technical Design
Interview Process

Interviews will be conducted by

Marissa Emanuel

and two Product Development Team Leads.
Maximum of three interviewers.
Panel interview may be conducted depending on scheduling.
This is a temporary maternity leave coverage position and is

not expected to extend beyond the contract period .
