Description
Manages the day-to-day operations of a large university program or department, including the supervision of staff employees, student workers, programs or processes.

Plans and develops procedures for administering a large or complex department or program.

Manages fiscal activities, including procurement and budget analysis.

Provides guidance to subordinate staff and evaluates performance.

Prepares abstracts, research reports, funding proposals, operations and procedure manuals, and other written material and documentation.

Creates and reviews reports of expenditures and activities.

May administer grants and grant-related communications, scholarships and other operations.

Develops, implements and maintains appropriate policies and procedures.

May serve as property custodian for the department.

Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

Additional Position Information
The Program Manager for the Executive Doctorate in Business Administration program at the C. T. Bauer College of Business is responsible for assisting in all aspects of the administration of the program, particularly event planning, contract management, vendor acquisitions, and department travel expenses.

Tasks/Responsibilities
Job duties will include communicating between program participants and managerial staff, creating and updating program schedules, and assisting in planning and managing program events.

Coordinates communications with students and faculty regarding informational sessions, orientations, and other program activities.

Coordinates the scheduling and logistics for student proposal and dissertation defenses, including calendar management with students and committee members.

Oversees venue selection, contracts, and logistical planning for all DBA events.

Manages the procurement process for program-related purchases by coordinating with vendors, executing contracts, and processing payment vouchers in accordance with university policies.

Processes and tracks student research reimbursements in accordance with university and program policies.

Collaborates with the Bauer Communications team on marketing campaigns targeting prospective DBA students.

Creates content for the program's social media platforms, including LinkedIn, Instagram and Facebook, in support of strategic initiatives and in compliance with university communications guidelines.

Assists with updating and maintaining DBA program materials, including the student profile book, student handbook, calendars, and other program resources.

Available multiple evenings and weekends during the spring and fall semesters to assist with virtual classes and on-campus residencies.

Assists with assessment efforts to include learning outcomes, evaluation and assessment of programs, services, facilities, and benchmark studies.

Collects and analyzes data on prospective, admitted, and denied students.

Assists with budget planning, analysis, and reporting for the DBA program.

Performs other job duties as assigned.

Skills/Qualifications

Proficient in Microsoft 365

Advanced in Excel

Basic graphic design skills and the ability to create engaging social media content

Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Excellent organizational and time management skills

Ability to balance multiple deadlines

Strong attention to detail and accuracy

Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

Ability to maintain confidentiality and sound professional judgement

Preferred Skills/Qualifications

Experience with Concur, SharePoint, and ApplyWeb

Experience working with adult/graduate students

As this program requires dealing with top-level executives, experience in service-oriented industries and client relationships will be highly valued

Master's degree in Education or Business.

Three (3) years' experience in a student-facing higher education position (admissions, advising, recruiting, etc.)

MQ: Education: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical and practical aspects of an analytical, technical or professional discipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professional discipline. Knowledge of the discipline is normally obtained through a formal, directly job-related 4 year degree from a college or university or an equivalent in-depth specialized training program that is directly related to the type of work being performed. Experience: Requires a minimum of one (1) year of directly job-related experience. Certification/Licensing: None.
