Yammii is a merchant technology and payment solutions company on a mission to help local restaurants, retailers, and service-oriented merchants operate more efficiently and grow with modern POS and payment solutions. We help merchants streamline transactions, improve day-to-day operations, and support customer-facing business workflows.

As Yammii expands into selected regional markets across the U.S., we are building a regional growth team to strengthen local market presence, deepen merchant engagement, and support community-based business development.

About the Role
The Regional Marketing & Community Development Specialist will drive local market growth through community engagement, merchant relationships, and regional partnership development.

This role is designed for candidates interested in marketing, community development, partnerships, local business growth, and startup expansion. You will help build local presence, identify merchant engagement opportunities, and create relationship-driven growth within assigned regional markets.

This is a ground-floor opportunity to help Yammii establish trusted local connections in selected regional markets and contribute directly to the company’s regional expansion strategy. The role is well-suited for early-career professionals and high-potential candidates seeking hands-on exposure to community growth, merchant engagement, and regional market development.

What You Will Do

Build local market presence through merchant engagement, community relationships, and partnership development

Develop relationships with merchants, student groups, business networks, and community organizations

Identify referral channels, local partnership opportunities, and community-based growth opportunities

Support merchant communication, regional outreach initiatives, and early-stage adoption efforts

Share merchant feedback, local market signals, and community insights with the internal team

What We Look For

Interest or experience in marketing, communications, community management, partnerships, local business development, or related fields

Strong relationship-building, organization, follow-up, event coordination, or community engagement skills

Comfort working with merchants, student groups, business owners, community organizations, or local networks

Experience in event planning, student organizations, local outreach, hospitality, restaurant operations, retail, or similar activities

Professional communication ability in English and Mandarin Chinese

Work Authorization
Candidates must have valid U.S. work authorization. International students with valid work authorization are welcome to apply. Future sponsorship may be considered based on role fit and company needs.

Work Location
This role is managed at thestate level, with opportunities to support multiple cities and surrounding markets within the assigned state.

Candidates relocating from outside the assigned state may work in their current region during the firstthree months, with no immediate relocation required.

Following the introductory period, work location may be adjusted based on business needs, team priorities, and mutual fit. Employees may relocate to a designated market or continue supporting their existing region.

Compensation & Program Structure
Compensation may include base pay, performance-based bonuses, business-related stipends, and approved expense reimbursement. Compensation and role scope are reviewed periodically based on individual contribution, market development progress, and business needs. For full-time conversion opportunities, the typical annual compensation package may range from $55,000 to $70,000, depending on role scope, location, performance, and business needs.
