Seeking a highly motivated Transmission Line Engineer to work remotely in a full-time capacity, focusing on detailed engineering and design for overhead high-voltage transmission lines while collaborating with internal teams and managing project documentation.
Key responsibilities:
Perform detailed engineering and design for overhead high-voltage transmission lines (69 kV to 500 kV+)
Conduct line routing studies and analyze structure spotting using PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and related tools
Prepare design calculations, engineering reports, and construction packages while ensuring compliance with industry standards
Required qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering, or related discipline
5+ years of experience in transmission line engineering or utility design
Proficiency with PLS-CADD, PLS-POLE, and SABRE, or similar modeling tools
Solid understanding of NESC, ASCE, IEEE standards, and utility engineering practices
EIT certification; PE license or progress toward PE strongly preferred
