We are looking for a Social Media Specialist for our growing team.

This position is onsite in Sedro-Woolley, Washington.

DEPARTMENT SUMMARY

The Social Media Specialist is responsible for developing, creating, and executing engaging social media content and paid advertising campaigns that build brand awareness, supportrecruiting, and connect with audiences across platforms. This role brings a creative, authentic voice to Janicki’s online presence while using data-driven paid social strategies to grow reach and engagement. The ideal candidate combines a fun, engaging personality with hands‑on expertise in paid social advertising to help tell Janicki’s story to current and future employees, customers, and the broader aerospace and manufacturing community. This role also supports broader content production and marketing initiatives across the department.

ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The following essential job functions are performed as the Social Media Specialist:

Develop, create, and publish engaging content across social media platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, X, TikTok, YouTube)

Plan, launch, and manage paid social advertising campaigns to support recruiting, brand awareness, and employer branding goals

Shoot and edit photo and video content, including short‑form video for social channels, using camera equipment (not phone‑only), and coordinate additional photography and videography support at company events, facilities, and employee spotlights when needed to build a library of authentic content

Manage paid social media budgets and optimize campaigns based on performance data, audience targeting, and return on ad spend

Maintain and grow a consistent, on‑brand voice and visual identity across all social channels

Monitor social channels daily and engage with followers, candidates, and community members in a timely and authentic manner

Partner with Marketing, Communications, and Talent Acquisition teams to align social content with recruiting campaigns, product milestones, and company news

Track and report on social media and paid advertising performance metrics, translating data into actionable recommendations

Stay current on platform algorithm changes, paid advertising tools, and emerging social media trends

Ability to step in and support other marketing initiatives as needed, beyond core social media responsibilities, includingemployer branding and recruitment initiatives

Ensure all social media content complies with ITAR, export control, and company communications guidelines

Monitor and help manage online reputation, including responding to comments and escalating issues as needed

Must be authorized to work in the United States

Ability to work flexible hours to support content timing, campaign launches, and occasional evening or weekend events

Demonstratethe ability to work individually and collaboratively with cross‑functional teams

Manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively while maintaining punctual and regular attendance

Perform other duties as assigned

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, or related field required

2+ years of experience managing social media accounts for a brand or organization

Hands‑on experience planning, launching, and optimizing paid social advertising campaigns (Meta Ads Manager, LinkedIn Campaign Manager, or similar platforms)

Demonstrated ability to translate campaign data into actionable insights and improved performance

Strong portfolio of organic and paid social content showcasing creativity and brand voice

Proficiency with social media management and scheduling tools (e.g., Hootsuite, Sprout Social, Later)

Working knowledge of analytics tools (Meta Business Suite, Google Analytics, native platform insights)

Excellent writing, editing, and visual storytelling skills

Proficiency with a DSLR or mirrorless camera and video editing software (Adobe Premiere Pro, DaVinci Resolve, Final Cut Pro, or similar)

A fun, authentic, and engaging personality with the creativity to bring Janicki’s brand to life online

Comfortable working in a fast‑paced environment with shifting priorities and tight deadlines

Experience in manufacturing, aerospace, defense, or technical industries preferred

Minimum requirement for all positions is a high school diploma or GED

Must have effective verbal and written communication skills in the English language

Due to our ITAR and EAR regulations, applicants must be a US Citizen or of Legal Permanent Resident Status as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b (a) (3)

DETAILED WAGE INFORMATION

Wage range for this role is between $83,000 - $95,000 , plus benefits and eligibility for a discretionary bonus. Employees can also receive additional pay for off‑shifts, offsite work, or access assignments. The range provided is Janicki's estimate of base compensation for this role. Actual pay offered will be based on job‑related and nondiscriminatory factors such as experience, location, education, training, skills, and abilities.
