Navigo Marketing runs connected commerce for premium beauty and personal care brands. The Role
About Navigo
Navigo Marketing runs connected commerce for premium beauty and personal care brands. We manage Amazon end to end — retail operations, advertising, DSP, and analytics — and increasingly the retailers around it: Ulta.com, Target+, TikTok Shop, and other marketplaces. We build our own data and automation tooling, so our brand managers spend their time on decisions instead of pulling reports.

You’ll own a portfolio of brands across their digital shelf. Amazon is the anchor — it's where the volume, the complexity, and most of your expertise will live. But your mandate is the whole connected commerce picture: how a brand's Amazon business, Ulta.com business, and DTC site influence each other, where demand is actually being created, and where a dollar is best spent across them.

This is a client-facing role. You’ll be the person a founder or CMO calls when they want to know why the number moved and what we’re doing about it.

What You’ll Own
Amazon (the core)

Full P&L ownership for your brands: revenue, ad spend, margin, contribution

Seller Central and/or Vendor Central operations — catalog, listings, A+ content, Brand Store, variations, buy box health, case management

Advertising strategy and oversight: Sponsored Products/Brands/Display, DSP, and how they ladder into the brand's broader media plan

Inventory and forecasting — restock planning, IPI health, protecting hero SKUs through promo periods

Promotional calendar: Prime Day, holiday, deals, coupons, subscriptions

Brand Analytics and search-term work — share of search, query gaps, competitive positioning

Other retailers (the growth edge)

Stand up and manage Ulta.com and other retailer marketplace programs — listings, retail media (Criteo and equivalents), promo calendars, retailer relationships

Understand each retailer's mechanics well enough to know what actually drives sell‑through there, rather than porting Amazon tactics wholesale

Connected commerce thinking

Read a brand's business across channels: Amazon, retailer .com, DTC, retail

Spot when a channel is cannibalizing another vs. genuinely incremental

Bring a point of view on new‑vs‑repeat, retention, and where a brand's next dollar of growth comes from

Client leadership

Own weekly and monthly reporting, QBRs, and annual planning

Translate data into a recommendation and a next step — not a dashboard tour

Manage expectations and timelines; escape before things become problems

What We’re Looking For
Required

5+ years managing Amazon businesses, agency- or brand-side, with real ownership (not just reporting or ad execution)

Beauty, skincare, or personal care experience — this is a hard requirement. Our clients are premium beauty brands and the category's dynamics don't translate from CPG or electronics

Deep Seller Central and/or Vendor Central fluency — you’ve fixed suppressed listings, chased down buy box issues, and fought a reimbursement case

Genuine command of Amazon Ads: you can explain the difference between a placement problem, a bid problem, and a listing problem

Comfort with numbers: unit economics, contribution margin, forecast vs. actual, and the discipline to catch when a report is wrong

Strong written and verbal communication — this role writes a lot of recommendations to sophisticated clients

Curiosity about retailers beyond Amazon, and the humility to learn a new platform’s rules from scratch

Nice to have

Amazon DSP or AMC (Amazon Marketing Cloud) experience

Ulta.com, Target+, TikTok Shop, or other marketplace/retailer .com experience

Experience with a brand's DTC business (Shopify) alongside marketplace

What This Role Is Not
You do not need to be a paid social or paid search buyer. We’re not asking you to build Meta creative tests or manage a Google account. You should understand how those channels create the demand that lands on a retail shelf — enough to work with the people who do run them and to know when an Amazon problem is actually an upper‑funnel problem. But retail media and marketplace expertise is what we’re hiring for.

How We Work

We build our own tooling — automated ad optimization, cross‑channel reporting, forecasting — so you’re not living in spreadsheets. We expect people to have opinions, back them with data, and say when they don’t know. Small team, direct client access, no layers between you and the decision.
