At Franklin Sports, Inc. we believe that sports make life better. Driven by our passion to get people moving, playing and competing, we bring sports to life for athletes of all ages. Every day, we collaborate to bring innovation and quality craftsmanship across the world of sport. We are proud of our partnerships with Major League Baseball, Major League Soccer, the National Basketball Association, the National Football League, the National Hockey League, the National Women's Soccer League, the Women's National Basketball Association, the Pro Volleyball Federation, USA Pickleball, and Hasbro's Nerf brand

all of which bring energy, strength, and joy to our products. We are family owned and family driven. To join Franklin Sports is to join the #FranklinFam.
The Performance Marketing Strategist owns paid media strategy and execution across our retail media networks including Amazon (multiple marketplaces), Walmart, and Target as well as emerging retail channels. This individual will manage campaign performance, optimization, and reporting to leadership, coordinating with internal teams and external partners to deliver against growth and efficiency targets.
This role also builds the operating system behind the media: documenting how advertising decisions get made, translating that into clear account-level strategy and standards, and leveraging automation and AI-enabled platforms to execute at scale. This position sits at the intersection of hands-on retail media practice and process design and will help define how we run advertising as tooling, channels, and category dynamics evolve.
This role may require travelling to company-sponsored events with overnight stays.
The position is located at our Headquarters in Stoughton, MA with a hybrid office option and will report to the Manager, Ecommerce Growth.
In more detail, you will:
Own campaign execution and expand across retail media channels as the model proves out
Report on campaign structure, keyword strategy, bid management, pacing, and performance across all active channels
Build and maintain the skill library inside our agent-based media platform, including LLM-driven automations
Determine which media workflows belong on our ad platform versus our internal data warehouse and automation stack
Define our advertising playbook including bidding philosophy, campaign taxonomy, keyword governance, and channel prioritization as living policy, not a static document
Translate institutional knowledge into structured, reviewable policies that our automations execute
Stand up our audit layer: naming conventions, negative-keyword discipline, budget guardrails, and a recurring rules check
Wire audit findings back into policy so the operating rules improve over time
Establish KPI frameworks across ROAS, TACOS, incrementality, and share of voice by channel
Define reporting that ties media performance to revenue contribution, new-to-brand growth, and category share
Monitor share of voice and competitive positioning using analytics tools
Coordinate with internal teams and external partners to deliver against growth and efficiency targets
Other duties as assigned.
Who you are:
Bachelor's degree required, ideally in Marketing, Business, or Analytics
5+ years of hands-on paid digital advertising experience managing meaningful budgets across multiple platforms; agency experience preferred
Deep Amazon Ads expertise across Sponsored Products, Brands, and Display; DSP and AMC desirable
Experience with Vendor Central 1P advertising strongly preferred, including SQP and Brand Analytics
Experience with at least one additional retail media platform (Walmart Connect, Target Roundel, Criteo, etc.)
Proficiency with a third-party bid management or automation platform
Experience using AI or automation to drive data-driven decisions
Familiarity with Google Ads, Meta Ads, or TikTok Ads preferred
What you have done/essential to the role:
Systems thinker who builds scalable processes rather than one-off solutions
Strong bias toward documentation - you write things down and build repeatable frameworks
Demonstrated ability to collaborate with and hold external partners accountable
Strong written and verbal communication skills across all levels of the organization
Comfort with data: pulling reports, interpreting attribution, and making decisions from performance analytics
Comfortable building on early-stage tooling with real limits and gaps
Ability to write platform-neutral policy so our playbook survives a change of tools
Energized by articulating judgment and supervising automation rather than running every change by hand
Curiosity about the future of AI-assisted advertising and genuine interest in shaping it
Highly organized with the ability to handle multiple priorities
Passion for the sports industry
Ability to travel on occasion via car, plane and train including overnight
Valid driver's license in good standing.
