Position Overview
Ladgov Corporation is seeking a qualified Catholic Liturgical Pianist to provide professional musical accompaniment, choir leadership, and liturgical music support for Catholic worship services at the Marine Corps Base Hawaii (MCBH) Chapel. The selected candidate will support weekly Sunday Mass, choir rehearsals, Holy Days, seasonal observances, and other special Catholic services while coordinating music selections with the Catholic priest and chapel staff.

Schedule

Weekly Catholic Sunday Mass at 9:30 AM

Approximately one 1-hour weekday evening rehearsal per week

Candidate is expected to be available on Holy Days, holidays, seasonal services, reconciliation services, Confirmation, and other special Catholic observances as scheduled.

Regular Sunday service support is approximately 1.5 hours per week for 52 weeks per year, in addition to the weekly rehearsal and any scheduled special services

Responsibilities

Provide skilled piano accompaniment for the weekly 9:30 AM Catholic Sunday Mass

Coordinate and lead weekly choir rehearsals

Select appropriate liturgical music in consultation with the Catholic priest

Prepare and submit proposed monthly music selections in advance for review

Qualifications / Requirements

Demonstrated proficiency in piano performance

Ability to read and perform traditional, contemporary, and other appropriate worship music

Familiarity with current Catholic liturgical traditions, practices, and seasonal observances

Strong ability to play piano, direct a choir, and sing

Experience supporting or leading worship services is preferred

Ability to lead rehearsals and work effectively with volunteer singers and instrumentalists

Strong communication, organization, reliability, and interpersonal skills

Ability to communicate effectively in English

Must be a U.S. citizen or lawful U.S. permanent resident with a valid Permanent Resident Card (Form I-551)

Must be able to successfully complete applicable background screening and obtain required DBIDS/base-access credentials

Must comply with installation access, security, conduct, and training requirements

A degree in music is not required. Experience leading or supporting worship services is preferred.
