About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Artistic Officer to provide general management, strategic guidance, and oversight of the programming direction for its concert venues. The successful candidate will work closely with the Music Director and other artistic partners to shape the institution's artistic planning, including the design of signature festivals, productions, and commissions. This role involves leading a programming team, identifying new artistic talent, and maintaining positive relationships with guest artists. The Chief Artistic Officer will also be responsible for the budget of the supervised departments and will collaborate with the Development, Marketing, and Public Relations teams to support the funding and promotion of the company's artistic content.
Applicants for the Chief Artistic Officer position at the company should have a strong background in the arts, with a focus on music and performance. The role requires the ability to work with a diverse range of stakeholders, including the Executive Team, Board Committees, and external partners. The ideal candidate will have experience in shaping artistic programs, maintaining a master calendar, and communicating program issues effectively. A key aspect of the role is the identification and engagement of new artistic talent, so a network of industry contacts is essential. The company is an equal opportunity employer and is committed to a diverse and inclusive workforce.
