Revit Designer – Mechanical Piping and HVAC
Location: Tulsa, Oklahoma, or Fayetteville, Arkansas
Employment Type: Full-Time
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. CT
Travel: Approximately 20%–25%
Position Summary
Seeking an experienced Revit Designer specializing in mechanical piping and HVAC systems for industrial and process-facility projects. This position will develop coordinated Revit 3D models, equipment layouts, piping and ductwork systems, and construction documents with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities
Develop Revit models for process and utility piping, HVAC ductwork, plumbing, mechanical equipment, and supports.
Prepare plans, sections, details, schedules, piping isometrics, and construction drawings.
Develop layouts from P&IDs, equipment drawings, engineering markups, field measurements, and project requirements.
Model pumps, boilers, heat exchangers, tanks, air-handling units, fans, and packaged equipment.
Create and modify Revit families for equipment, piping, valves, fittings, supports, and HVAC components.
Coordinate mechanical systems with structural, architectural, electrical, civil, process, refrigeration, and equipment models.
Perform clash detection and resolve constructability, access, clearance, and coordination issues.
Use point clouds and 3D laser-scan data to model existing conditions.
Perform field verification and document existing systems and site conditions.
Incorporate vendor drawings, equipment submittals, and engineering comments into project models.
Maintain model accuracy, drawing quality, revision control, and compliance with PEPM and client standards.
Complete assigned work within project schedules and budgets.
Required Qualifications
Associate degree, technical diploma, or equivalent experience in drafting, design technology, or mechanical engineering technology.
Eight or more years of relevant mechanical Revit design experience.
Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit.
Experience designing industrial piping, HVAC, plumbing, and utility systems.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, mechanical drawings, equipment information, specifications, and engineering markups.
Working knowledge of piping components, equipment connections, pipe supports, ductwork, and HVAC systems.
Ability to produce accurate, coordinated, and constructible drawings with minimal supervision.
Strong communication, organization, and time-management skills.
Ability to travel and work safely in active industrial and construction environments.
Preferred Qualifications
Industrial process, food-processing, manufacturing, oil and gas, energy, utility, or data-center project experience.
Proficiency in AutoCAD, Navisworks Manage, Autodesk Construction Cloud, BIM 360, and Bluebeam Revu.
Experience with point clouds, laser scanning, clash detection, and BIM coordination.
Experience with steam, condensate, natural gas, compressed air, domestic water, hot water, chilled water, glycol, and HVAC systems.
Experience coordinating directly with engineers, clients, contractors, and equipment vendors.
