About the project:
An overeducated, lackadaisical urban farmer must protect his life and home after an elderly neighbor demands to be his slave. A short satire on class and race distinctions in America, the project explores the social pantomimes, distortions, and transgressions necessary to support such systems, rooted in play between two central characters: the older, dispossessed yet enthusiastic slave, and his younger, reluctant but wryly sadistic would-be master.

$175–200/day.

Production dates: Early September 2026. In-person rehearsals commence mid-August.
Location: Richmond, Virginia.
Independent / Non-union production.
Submission consists of a self-tape based on script samples and extended character backgrounds provided in casting sheets.
