Job Summary
Works with University departments and outside clients to develop a wide array of marketing strategies. Conceptualizes and writes advertising copy to support marketing strategies and creative platforms. Coordinates the production, delivery and distribution of ongoing promotional materials.

Responsibilities
You will be responsible for creating content/copy and proofing/editing existing copy for a multitude of platforms and audiences including print, digital and social media. Typical projects will include but are not limited to creating complex email campaigns, webpage content, social media posts, print materials, internal communications, press releases, speechwriting, screen writing, etc.
Minimum Qualifications
EQUIVALENCY STATEMENT : 1 year of higher education can be substituted for 1 year of directly related work experience (Example: bachelor’s degree = 4 years of directly related work experience).
Requires a bachelor’s (or equivalency) + 4 years or a master’s (or equivalency) + 2 years of directly related work experience.
Preferences
Higher Ed, publication or agency experience
Experience working with Slate or other CRM a plus
Email Marketing: Experienced in email marketing for targeted audiences and adept at creating a sense of urgency with CTAs that drive traffic and create leads.
Web Content Creation: Proven experience in translating complex content into easy-to-read copy with user experience as a top priority. Experienced in creating content with keywords for webpages to be easily optimized and indexed.
Strong Editing/Proofreading Skills: Detailed-oriented with proven ability to proof, edit, and spot errors in your own work, as well as the work of others. Proven ability to evaluate and tweak copy to improve readability, accuracy, and voice.
