talisman · Houston, TX, USA ·

Pay:
180.000 - 280.000
Job type:
Full Time

Our client is building the infrastructure backbone of the AI era, developing large-scale, purpose-built data center campuses engineered for hyperscale computing. With committed capital, campuses in active development, and ambitious growth plans, the business requires a disciplined and sophisticated capital markets function.

Our client is seeking a Head of Investor Relations to lead relationships with the investors supporting its growth. As the business expands across multiple campuses and financing structures, its investor base will grow in size and complexity—spanning institutional equity, project finance, corporate debt, and potentially the public markets.

This executive will shape how the company communicates its strategy, reports its progress, and earns investors’ confidence. It is a company-defining opportunity to build the capital narrative and investor relations function of a rapidly growing infrastructure platform.

The Role
Reporting to the President and working closely with the CEO and CFO, the Head of Investor Relations will serve as the primary bridge between our client and its investors.

The successful candidate will own the investor narrative, reporting strategy, and relationships across the capital stack. They will translate operational progress into a clear and credible investment story for equity investors, lenders, and rating agencies while establishing the reporting systems and disclosure practices needed to support future fundraising and growth.

Key Responsibilities
Investor Narrative and Positioning

Own and continually refine the company’s equity story and investment thesis as its portfolio, financing structures, and market conditions evolve.

Develop messaging, presentations, supporting data, and other materials for each stage of capital formation.

Position the company within the competitive landscape of infrastructure, data center, and AI platforms.

Partner with the President, CEO, and CFO on board presentations, investor updates, and capital markets communications.

Capital Raising and Transaction Support

Support equity and debt raises from initial preparation through closing, including materials, data-room management, diligence coordination, and investor inquiries.

Build and maintain the diligence infrastructure required to act quickly when financing opportunities arise.

Coordinate with the CFO, outside counsel, and financial advisors during active transactions.

Maintain the fundraising pipeline and track relationships with existing and prospective investors.

Investor Reporting and Communications

Own the cadence and quality of investor reporting, including quarterly updates, capital-deployment reporting, and key infrastructure metrics.

Connect operational progress—including campuses under construction, megawatts contracted, and capital deployed—to the financial outcomes investors are underwriting.

Manage investor communications between formal reporting cycles and respond to inquiries regarding material developments.

Establish disclosure standards and information controls appropriate for future engagement with debt and public markets.

Relationship Management

Serve as the day-to-day relationship lead for institutional investors and private equity stakeholders.

Build relationships with prospective investors, lenders, and rating agencies ahead of future capital requirements.

Manage rating-agency engagement as the company approaches larger debt facilities.

Represent the company at investor meetings, roadshows, and industry conferences.

Monitor capital markets activity across the data center, AI, and broader infrastructure sectors.

Track comparable financings, valuation benchmarks, public-company performance, and investor sentiment.

Incorporate relevant market intelligence into capital planning and positioning decisions.

Investor Relations Function Development

Build the investor relations function, including the systems, processes, reporting infrastructure, and future team.

Establish scalable investor relationship management and disclosure controls.

Design information flows that keep leadership, the board, and investors aligned as the company grows.

Qualifications
Required Experience

At least 5 years of experience in investor relations, capital markets, private equity, investment banking, or infrastructure finance.

A proven track record supporting equity and debt raises in capital-intensive businesses.

Strong understanding of the metrics and reporting expected by institutional infrastructure investors.

Experience managing relationships with institutional investors, lenders, or rating agencies.

Strong financial acumen and familiarity with project finance structures, capital models, and board-level reporting.

Experience creating investor materials and managing diligence during active transactions.

Demonstrated ability to translate operational and financial information into a compelling investment narrative.

Experience working in a high-growth, institutionally backed, capital-intensive environment.

Preferred Background
Candidates may have experience in one or more of the following areas:

Investor relations leadership within an infrastructure, energy, real estate, or data center business.

Investment or capital markets experience at a private equity firm, infrastructure fund, or investment bank, ideally with exposure to digital infrastructure.

A Head of Investor Relations, Vice President of Investor Relations, or senior capital markets role at a high-growth or publicly traded infrastructure company.

Supporting a significant capital raise, refinancing, or transition toward public-market readiness.

Working across the capital stack, from institutional equity and project finance to corporate debt.

Leadership Profile
The successful candidate will:

Operate with the discipline, accuracy, and judgment required to establish capital markets credibility.

Communicate complex financial and operational information clearly to sophisticated audiences.

Build trusted relationships with investors, executives, board members, and colleagues.

Be comfortable creating systems and processes where little infrastructure currently exists.

Communicate credibly with both internal finance teams and external stakeholders.

Thrive in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment with high standards and significant growth ambitions.

Compensation and Benefits
Our client offers a highly competitive executive compensation package, with meaningful equity participation designed to align the successful candidate with long-term company performance.

Annual cash bonus:
