This position is searching for a skilled Part107 certified operator with extensive experience operating drones via a remote control. The qualified candidate will act as an operations specialist assisting in the development and test of cutting-edge safety related technologies. The role includes mission planning and lightweight maintenance duties. The candidate should demonstrate attention to detail, a safety-oriented attitude, flexibility, and enthusiasm for cutting-edge technology. This individual will also conduct operation readiness activities and logistics planning as needed.
Day to Day:
Data Collection
Testing and special operations team
Working a night shift- 3 pm-11:30 pm
Drive to offsite work locations daily (work vehicle will be provided).
Must Haves:
2+ years of commercial drone piloting experience (bigger commercial drones).
Strong pre-flight planning process
Employees must, with or without reasonable accommodation, be able to lift up to 50 pounds on some occasions, stand/walk for up to 8-10 hours (with breaks), and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach.
Experience with commercial UAS industry
Aviation safety experience as a Safety Officer or similar
Needs more than just DJI, remote control airplanes would work too
Must be able to fly in manual mode- specifically no GPS
Must have professional experience flying drones, no less than 50 hours logged flight time
