General Summary:
The Marketing & Communications Coordinator position requires a working understanding of strategicand tactical marketing and communications skills. Th position works within the Marketing Department,with a specific focus on the Safer Pathways Center (SPC). This role will take the lead on marketinginitiatives for SPC, including social media, grassroots marketing, development of marketing pieces,and initial strategy with support of the Vice President of Strategy and Innovation. Critical tosuccess in this role are effective design skills, solid written and verbal communication skills, ahigh level of attention to detail, an ability to draft a social media plan (schedule/calendar),plan events and a dynamic “can do” spirit.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Stakeholder Interface and Service
Providing project and administrative support for a variety of internal and external marketingprograms
Working with marketing team to produce and manage brand identity & other marketing initiatives,collateral and assets — both physical and digital
Planning & managing social media and website content production — including posting to socialmedia platforms, and providing analytic summaries
The organization’s major events are planned, executed and meet stated event objectives
Organization’s social media strategy is executed as planned and the metric meets strategicgoals
Solid support is given to planning and executing the marketing/communications plan
It is actively supporting the marketing and communications director with duties
Managing photography/videography (shooting & editing) assignments (including Podcasts)
Perform other duties assigned
Stakeholder Outreach and Recruitment
Healthy vendor relationships are established and maintained
All materials for external consumption are accurate, consistent in format, design, contentare professionally presented with the organization’s brand standards
Managing vendor relationships including print houses, advertising firms, web developers,etc
Tracking, Document, and Reporting
Templates and guides are up-to-date and readily available for dissemination to appropriateaudiences
Maintaining schedules for a variety of marketing initiatives — including the Department’s, marketing, social media, editorial, project and Zoom meeting calendars
Planning, organizing and promote organizational events — including setup and running in-person and virtual functions
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Excellent time management skills — with high level attention to detail and follow-through
Ability to multi-task effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
Outgoing personality with strong interpersonal and social abilities
Familiarity with social media, social networking, and email marketing
Demonstrated problem solving and critical thinking skills
Project planning and management and problem-solving skills
Hands‑on experience and self‑sufficiency with Microsoft productivity tools, including Outlook (for email), Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), and online collaboration tools (video conferencing, Zoom/Teams, messaging)
Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop and Adobe Premiere)
Digital photography and video editing experience
Demonstrated ability to plan and execute events
Education and Experience:
Associate or bachelor’s degree in marketing, business or a related field required
2-3 years of experience in a marketing assistant or equivalent role
